ACHERON Set Title For New Album

April 14, 2004

Columbus, Ohio-based black/death metal cult band ACHERON have been working on music for their next album, tentatively titled "Sanctum Regnum". The band are taking it slowly and are enjoying the songwriting process. The theme for the CD will be "a very apocalyptic concept." Songtitles set to appear on the album include "The Apocalypse", "Godless (We are Gods)", "Satan’s New Age", "I Am Heathen", "Millennium’s End", "Anno Lucifuge", "Rise of Rebellion" and "Might is Right".

In other news, Greece's Black Lotus Records will be releasing an ACHERON history double CD, entitled "Decade Infernus 1988-1998". The set, which is described as "a must for all old and new fans," will feature 34 songs ranging from the albums "Rites Of The Black Mass" and "Those Who Have Risen". Artist Timo Wuerz has been recruited to do more extreme artwork for this album’s cover and inlay. A tentative summer 2004 release date is expected.

Also on the ACHERON-related front, the band's most recent album, "Rebirth: Metamorphosing into Godhood" has been released in Venezuela on Dark Production Records. The pressing is limited to 500 copies with lyrics printed in both Spanish and English. A 12-inch vinyl version of "Rebirth: Metamorphosing into Godhood" will also be released in the very near future. More information on this release will be given at a later date.

ACHERON, who recently announced the addition of guitarist Stacey Connolly (LIFE IS LOST) to the group's ranks, are presently rehearsing for upcoming live appearances, including a headlining performance at Berlin, Germany's Under The Black Sun festival on Friday July 9, 2004.
